The largest German crowdfunding platform Companisto is in the midst of an INVEST grant self-funding round, the platform’s own equity investment. To date, over €4,420,000, overfunding by 164%, has been raised by more than 448 investors. The amount continues to increase with each click through.
According to the platform video and pitch deck, the subsidy guarantees a 20% reimbursement on the investment sum when investing in an innovative business. Investors will also receive a 25% tax break on generated returns, as in an exit. Investors also no longer have a €10,000 limit on the platform — there is now no limit to the amount of investment, similar to Great Britain’s SEIS program.
On this campaign there is a €10,000 minimum investment. In order to qualify, the investor’s main residence must be in the EU or European Economic Area. The investment must also be held for 3 years. More INVEST details can be found here.
The platform founders aim to create a strong community of investors which finances groundbreaking innovation together. Aside from being the DACH region leader and Germany’s most active private venture capital lender since 2015, Companisto’s milestones include:
- an investment volume of €61M
- 114 completed startup financing rounds
- more than 94,000 registered investors
- the record-breaking Weissenhaus €7.5 round
- the €5.%M Ameria round
- 5 exits
- € 4,716,811 paid to Companisto investors
The platform also recently introduced its Companisto Angel Club, a special area for affluent investors and business angels on Companisto. Members are given the opportunity to participate in companies at preferential conditions.
Crowdfund Insider has reached out to Companisto for more details regarding platform updates and INVEST and will post details when received.
