Airsorted Raises £1.26 Million on Seedrs

Airsorted has successfully raised £1.26 million in an investment crowdfunding round on Seedrs. The follow on round attracted 1,078 investors, according to a note from Seedrs.

The offer was for a convertible security set with a 20% discount on a valuation cap of £47 million. A trigger event included a capital raise of at least £4 million for equity in the company.

This is Airsorted’s second crowdfunding round on Seedrs, having previously raised over £7 million on the platform. This round brings the overall number of individual crowd investors to 2,195.

Airsorted seeks to service the booming home-letting market catering to homeowners using services like Airbnb or HomeAway to rent their homes. Airsorted handles all of the management of properties including cleaning & maintenance, restocking, and 24/7 guest support.

Airsorted was launched in 2015 by James Jenkin-Yates in London. The rental management platform claims to have become the world’s largest short-term rental management platform.

Currently, Airsorted operates in 22 cities from Bristol to Brisbane, across 14 countries. The number of managed homes presently stands around 4000.

Airsorted reports that it has earned over £62 million in revenue for its hosts and currently employs more than 180 employees globally.

Jenkins-Yates, who is CEO of Airsorted, said this funding round has been key as they prepare for their Series B round:

“… we are delighted to have returned to Seedrs, welcome back our existing supporters, and pick up some new ones along the way. This is an extremely exciting time for the business, and we look forward to showing investors what we have in store.”
