Update: Renewable Energy Product Brand Deciwatt Is Set to Close Seedrs Round With More Than £500,000 in Funding

Deciwatt, a UK-based company that creates renewable energy products that allow users to make light and power, is set to close its equity crowdfunding round on Seedrs with more than £500,000 in funding. The funding round was launched earlier this summer with a mission to raise £400,000. The campaign has attracted more than 675 investors.

As previously reported, Deciwatt has developed renewable energy solutions and its new product, NowLight now creates instant light and power from the pull of a cord. Deciwatt noted that in just one minute of pulling on NowLight’s cord will generate up to two hours of light and when fully charged NowLight will provide up to 50 hours of light.

“NowLight can charge mobile devices through its USB port and up to four ‘SatLights’ can be connected to the main unit, so you can spread the light around. NowLight is useful when you want it and vital when you need it. Useful for lighting in your shed or charging your phone at a music festival. Vital for power cut emergencies.”

NowLight is a pico power station that provides the following:

  • An instant generator
  • A source of bright light
  • A 5V power bank

Funds from the Seedrs round will be used to continue the development of the NowLight. Deciwatt is currently offering 14.77% in equity at a £2,307,470 pre-money valuation. The campaign will close this evening.
