Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based FreedomPay, a global commerce solution developer, revealed on November 12 that it has teamed up with Marriott International in order to deploy the FreedomPay Commerce Platform across Marriott’s lodging portfolio.
Marriott’s management says it intends to use FreedomPay’s platform in the US and Canada, and then it might start using it at its other locations throughout the world.
Marriott International is one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. It reportedly manages and franchises over 7,000 properties in around 132 countries and territories around the globe.
FreedomPay CEO and founder Tom Durovsik, stated:

As noted in a release, FreedomPay’s commerce platform provides support to merchants and businesses by helping them “merge security, identity, payments, loyalty, and advertising with proprietary data driven solutions.”
FreedomPay’s commerce solution is based on “fully integrated, patented technology” that provides “flexibility and optionality” for multinational companies operating in various industries. The company’s platform can be used at point of sale systems and by a wide range of merchant service providers.
