Trulioo, an on-demand global identity verification company, announced on Monday it has appointed Lisa Stanton to its board of directors. Trulioo reported that Stanton is currently an executive at American Express and will help guide the identity verification provider along its mission to “verify the globe.”
Prior to joining American Express, Stanton was CEO at InAuth, a digital intelligence company that provides digital security to financial institutions around the world. Before her time at InAuth, Stanton was the founder of the U.S. division of Monitise. Speaking about her position at Trulioo, Stanton stated:
“I’ve known Trulioo for years and really admire what the team has built. I always considered Trulioo to be the most innovative player in the digital identity space and way ahead of the competition. As digital fraud and ID theft continue to rise and as two billion people still lack access to traditional banking, now is a critical time to leverage the power of digital ID and risk mitigation solutions to solve these complex challenges. Existing Trulioo customers understand that digital identification is opening the door to expanded, more personal and secure relationships with users, and I’m eager to be a part of its mission to verify the globe.”
Stephen Ufford, CEO of Trulioo, also commented:
“Lisa brings serious credentials to our Board of Directors and she is an ideal addition to our already impressive board. Her deep, extensive work across a wide range of traditional finance, security and fintech companies will be a massive asset to Trulioo as we continue our strong momentum from 2019 and enter a period of significant growth.”
