Coronavirus: National Crowdfunding and Fintech Association Annual Event is Postponed

Dozens of events around the world have been canceled or rescheduled. This includes Fintech focused events. Yesterday, the annual Paris Blockchain Week pushed the event to December.

Today, the National Crowdfunding and Fintech Association (NCFA) annual conference, FFCON20, has been postponed to at least June or July. Originally, FFCON20 was scheduled for later this month.

Like many others, organizers said “our priority is health safety for all participants. ” That means no event until further notice.

In an email, organizers said that event speakers from corporations like Google and big law firms were curtailing travel and participation in gatherings with many people. Coronavirus is not only a global health pandemic but it is decimating the event and conference business.

A list of canceled events has been circulating on the internet and accepting new additions.

Hopefully, public health authorities will soon gain control of the looming crisis. In the interim, expect more cancellations and not just of conferences.
