Bidvine, a UK-based online service marketplace, has successfully secured its initial £2.75 million funding target through its equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs. Founded in 2014, Bidvine claims to be the fast, free way to get competing quotes for local services from interested, available professionals.
“[The platform is] free for consumers who know that accomplishing goals is awesome. Feeling smart doing it is double awesome. But hunting for someone to help sucks. For service pros Bidvine is the best cost per lead marketing option that brings new customers to their business – on their terms. Think of Bidvine as your personal assistant for finding local service providers and getting things done.”
Bidvine notably matches professionals with their target customers. The company stated that it believes that the traditional methods for local service professionals and consumers finding one another can be extremely inefficient.
“For consumers, asking friends and family members and searching directories can take hours to find someone right for the job. At Bidvine, a customer can submit a request in two minutes and immediately be matched with professionals that are available and interested in the job. For professionals, they are looking for new customers and putting up flyers on notice boards isn’t cutting it anymore. Online directories can produce leads that aren’t right for their business because of the type of service the customer is looking for, their location, or their availability. Some of the mainstream ad platforms can be just too complicated and costly. We make it easy for pros to connect with relevant prospects.”
Funds from the Seedrs round will be used to continue to develop the UK marketplace, expanding into another international market and the introduction of additional tools for service professionals. Bidvine is currently offering 16.94% in equity at a £13,487,940 pre-money valuation. The campaign is set to close at the end of April.
