Varengold Bank (VdK), a marketplace bank that is focused on Fintech, has joined the Association of German Credit Platforms. The credit institute based in Hamburg focuses on the business of financing online lending marketplaces and thus aligns with the Varengold. This is the first inclusion of a bank in the group of members, according to a note from VdK.
“We are very pleased that we were able to take on a bank as a new member with Varengold for the first time. We are gaining a strategically important supporter who fits perfectly with our concept of the debt financing ecosystem, ”said Constantin Fabricius, Managing Director of the Association of German Credit Platforms.
Dr. Bernhard Fuhrmann, board member of Varengold Bank, added that today there are still too many people and companies without access to capital or banking services.
“To change that is our job as a bank. On the way to our goal, we help online credit platforms to grow because they can broker a larger number of loans more efficiently than we could. The VdK provides, among other things, to ensure that these advantages of credit platforms are perceived in public. Accordingly, we look forward to actively supporting the association in its work. ”
Varengold has partnered with multiple Fintechs. Earlier this year, Varengold opened a Fintech hub in Berlin. seeking to further immerse themselves in Germany’s most robust Fintech scene. Varengold holds a full banking license.
