Sberbank Unveils Anti-Crisis Support Platform Specifically For SMEs

Russian banking group Sberbank announced earlier this week it is launching an anti-crisis support platform, SberUnity, that is specifically for SMEs. According to Sberbank, SberUnity was created to help businesses find new solutions and transform their companies from offline to online ones.

Sberbank also claims that SberUnity is the first online platform that allows businessmen from various industries across all regions of Russia to get advice from professional business mentors or find new solutions for their businesses. The banking group further noted that during the COVID-19 pandemic, mentors are ready to share their expertise for free, as well as help businesses, find new solutions to scale up and promote operations.

Speaking about the platform, Lev Khasis, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, stated:

“Today small and medium-sized businesses face unprecedented challenges and must respond quickly to new circumstances to survive and create new opportunities for themselves. Now is the right time to rethink (and possibly revise) the business model and key processes.”

Sberbank went on to add that the SberUnity platform will also regularly host webinars with successful entrepreneurs who have managed to rebuild their businesses during the crisis, as well as representatives of the Sberbank ecosystem
