Blockchain Trust Solutions BCTS is introducing a blockchain network, SwissDLT, that is said to combine Swiss features such as “reliability, security, neutrality” along with being compatible with other common blockchain systems, according to a release. BCTS has developed the solution with its infrastructure partner Axpo WZ-Systems AG.
Axpo WZ-Systems AG specializes in crisis-proof data communication. SwissDLT is seeking to offer a highly secure blockchain solution for everyone.
All of the nodes are all in Switzerland and the data is said to never leave the Swiss legal area. The SwissDLT is designed in accordance with GDPR and will comply with the DLT adjustments to Swiss legislation.
Jakob Gülünay, founder and CEO of BCTS, says:
“We see specific applications of SwissDLT in the following areas: certificates of origin for all products and brands as well as ticketing systems. But tokens from other companies or the tokenization of valuables – such as art or vintage cars – using digital twins are also areas of application for the new network.”
Toni Caradonna, founder and chief technical officer of BCTS, believes that with SwissDLT they can offer an inexpensive and transparent blockchain solution that is “not comparable to conventional blockchains.”
SwissDLT alliance partners include companies and institutions like the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, St. Gallen University of Applied Sciences, the Raiffeisen Entrepreneur Center, the BSC Young Boys, FC St. Gallen 1879, Helveticor and the start-up sponsors at Startfeld.
