Novae, a U.S.-based fintech and insurtech firm, has formed a new partnership with Latin American airline loyalty program LifeMiles to launch a new travel protection program called Miles Care.
According to the duo, the program will enable travelers’ protection for trip cancellation and interruption, delayed flights, missed international connections, and loss or delayed luggage. LifeMiles customers will have the option to purchase advanced care membership for various situations that arise while traveling, which includes the following:
- Emergency medical expenses
- Accidental death
- Emergency political evacuation
The protection also has other additional benefits such as purchase protection, ATM robbery protection, instant compensation for loss or damage to personal devices, such as laptops, tablets, and phones. The protection will include compensations for financial loss arising from unauthorized use of the banking app. While sharing more details about the protection, Alejandro Nardi, Chief Operating Officer at novae, stated:
