Celebrity Wine & Spirits Marketplace GrapeStars Now Seeking Funds Through Reg CF Campaign on Republic

GrapeStars, a marketplace where celebrities may promote their wine and spirits to followers, is now seeking funds through its Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) campaign on Republic. Founded in 2017, GrapeStars claims it is a one-of-a-kind online marketplace where celebrities can promote wine and spirits directly to their followers. 

“We provide a virtual direct-to-consumer sales channel that connects celebrity ambassadors with fan consumers via their social media channels. Our platform is fully compliant with state and federal laws, allowing users to discover new products, interact with their favorite celebrities, and purchase wine and spirits — all through our app.”

GrapeStars also reported it is available for every iOS or Android device. Once installed, users may make a profile and browse their favorite celebrity brands without having to go to the store or scrolling through social media. All purchases can be made directly through GrapeStar’s app. Users may also give back with the charity initiative, GrapeStars Round Up, which links to a charity affiliated with their celebrity of choice.

“We’ve received immense support since our beta launch. We already handle brands for 350+ celebrities with millions of followers, including David Beckham, John Legend, Drake, and more.”

GrapeStars further revealed that partnerships in the works to enhance the user experience on the app, including NBC Universal, Jean-Charles Boisset Wineries, The Gallo Family, Fan Hero, Beverage Media Group, HYP3R, Agency Concepta, Spotful, Semeon, Narvar, Signifyd, the Silicon Valley Bank, and Dickenson Peatman & Fogarty.

“Our revenue comes from a standard retail markup with our retailer partners. As a third-party marketer, we charge a 15% commission fee on the products sold through our platform. With our current sales pipeline, we expect to eclipse $100M in revenue in the next 5 years.”

Funds from the Republic campaign will be used to continue the development of the GrapeStars platform. The campaign is set to close mid-September.
