The German Banking Association represents the interests of private banks in Germany. Bitbond was not the only non-traditional firm named as a new member as Hawk AI, a real-time anti-money laundering detection and investigation platform, also joined the Association.
In an email, Bitbond said they are honoured to become part of the banking association. Bitbond noted that Bankenverband has already started significant activity around initiatives such as a digital Euro.
“At Bitbond we look forward to bringing in our expertise in this field as well as tokenization and digital asset custody,” stated Bitbond.
Bitbond recently facilitated a security token offering for a real estate asset. It is also working with other financial institutions to enable digital assets/ tokenization.
