SaaS & E-Commerce Business Subscription Service Chargebee Secures $55 Million Through Series F Investment Round Led By Insight Partners

Chargebee, a recurring billing platform for subscription-based SaaS and e-commerce businesses, recently announced it secured $55 million through Series F funding round, which was led by Insight Partners.

As previously reported, Chargebee integrates with payment gateways such as Stripe, Braintree, PayPal to allow customers to automate recurring payment connections along with invoicing, taxes, accounting, email notifications, SaaS Metrics, and customer management. Krish Subramanian, Co-Founder and CEO of Chargebee, stated last year:

“Enterprises and rising startups recognize the value of subscription businesses. Unlike transactional revenue models, subscriptions require companies to evaluate longer-term metrics and redefine KPIs for success.”

The Series F round brings Chargebee’s total funding it has raised to date to $105 million. Speaking about the company’s growth, Subramanian shared:

“When we started seven years ago, we were primarily focussed on startups and early stage businesses. It’s a matter of great pride for me to see many of these startups have scaled into emerging enterprises today. In a way, it’s your growth and ambitions that have driven us to build a product that adapts and scales for businesses ranging from pre-revenue startups to the Fortune 500s. From cutting edge technology to traditional enterprises.”

Subramanian also added he and his team will be deploying the Series F funds to expand Chargebee’s capabilities to support its customers through the next many many milestones in its combined journey.
