Paysend Milestone: Hits 2.5 Million Customers

Paysend, a UK-based global payments platform, announced earlier this week it has reached the 2.5 million customer mark for its Global Transfers service. The company reached the 1.5 million mark in March, so 1 million customers have been welcomed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Founded in 2017, Paysend is the global fintech company and payments disruptor based in the UK. It is on a mission to change how money is moved around the world.

We are the next generation money transfer platform allowing you to send funds from card to card from 45 to over 80 countries.”

Speaking about the milestone, Ronnie Millar, CEO of Paysend, added

“Paysend has become a leading end-to-end global payment ecosystem, and now one of the foremost service providers in many transfer markets globally. We combine excellent technology, global partners like Alipay and Mastercard, and excellent customer service to ensure that we keep our customer connected with their loved ones, despite what challenges the world throws at them.”

The milestone comes less than two months after Paysend announced it is waiving money transfer fees for U.S. customers throughout the month of October 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  At the time of news, Matt Montes, Paysend’s U.S.-based General Manager, stated:

“Since the start of 2020, nearly one million new global users have joined Paysend’s platform – transferring money to loved ones around the world, without leaving the comfort and safety of their homes. Since the U.S. is home to the largest global transfer market in the world, we wanted to further accelerate peer-to-peer (P2P) payments during this difficult time by waiving transaction fees.”
