Conigital, a UK-based driverless vehicle and on-demand ride-hailing company, has successfully secured its initial £1million target. The company’s equity crowdfunding campaign made its debut on Seedrs recently and has so far attracted nearly 70 investors. Founded in 2015, Conigital explained that it stands for “Connected Digital.” The company stated:
“We are a deep tech, retrofit driverless vehicle and on-demand ride-hailing startup on a mission to digitally connect Autonomous vehicles to empower inclusive mobility for all.”
Conigital further revealed that it provides a pandemic safe, turnkey driverless vehicle deployments of any vehicle type, which includes an automated bus, as well as the backend operation platform for transport/mobility operates to run human-driven and/or driverless fleets as part of a Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) offering.
“Whilst in transit, our multi-language, Travel AI concierge (Connie or David) generates new revenue streams by improving passenger experiences, providing travel updates, onward travel, infotainment and e-commerce services. We connect passengers with ‘local marketplaces’ as they travel or sight see e.g. shops, cafes, tourist sites, hotels and our clients retail services including upselling any special offers or upgrades.”
Cognitial then noted that its monetization will come from Driverless Vehicle trials leading to commercial deployments.
“Use of our White label ride-hailing platform for mobility operators to offer optimise their existing fleets and offer new mobility services such as on demand rideshare and carshare all managed via our mobility platform.”
Fund from the Seedrs campaign will be used to continue the development of the Cognitial platform. The company is now offering a 20% discount through the funding round, which is set to close at the end of December.
