Congress to Bring Big Bank CEOs Back to the Hill

The Chairwoman of the House Committee on Financial Services, Maxine Waters, and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Sherrod Brown, have jointly announced a new round of hearings that will see the CEOs of the top US banks testify in front of each of the two committees.

According to the Committees, the CEOs of JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley, will participate in the hearings taking place the week of May 24, 2021.

The Senate hearing is currently scheduled for Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at 10:00 AM ET. The House hearing is scheduled for Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 12:00 PM ET. Both hearings will be virtual and live-streamed on the respective Committee websites.

Additional information should be forthcoming closer to the dates of the hearings.
