Global Payments Fintech Blackhawk Network Appoints Cory Gaines as Chief Product Officer

Blackhawk Network, a global payments provider, has confirmed that product management and payments executive, Cory Gaines, will now be serving as the company’s its Chief Product Officer.

Gaines will be expected to lead Blackhawk’s growth and development efforts  in payments products, which includes globalizing the firm’s solutions, developing upon its Pay4It™ suite and introducing various products to assist partners with driving scale, revenue and loyalty.

Gaines has 30 years of industry experience in product development and management, which includes Fortune 100 companies in the payments and financial services sector. These companies reportedly include Visa, Citibank, Bank of America and PayPal.

While working at PayPal, Gaines was responsible for leading the firm’s global business product line that supported payment acceptance, third-party wallet support, currency management and localization via online, mobile and emerging commerce platforms.

Recently, Gaines was working as Chief Product Officer at Lively, Inc., where he was in charge of product management, product design, engineering and data science, assisting the US transition to consumer-focused healthcare.

In his new role at Blackhawk, Gaines will be reporting to Roche and will be expected to work closely with Blackhawk’s tech team, which is being headed by CTO Nik Sathe. They’ll be focused on supporting embedded payments growth within the international commerce industry.
