Groundfloor, a real estate crowdfunding platform, is in the process of raising equity capital on SeedInvest right now.
According to a recent email distributed SeedInvest, the offering is now its most funded Fintech offering ever listed on the crowdfunding platform. The email states that Groundfloor is the “most funded Fintech company in SeedInvest history” and it is closing its securities offering soon.
The offering page indicates that, as of today, 2,943 investors have committed $5.62 million to the Reg A+ offering.
The Series B round is seeking up to $10 million in preferred equity at a pre-money valuation of $73.4 million. A minimum investment of $984 is required at a per-share price of $18.23. The previous funding round was listed at a pre-money valuation of $67.34 million in March of 2020.
Groundfloor reports that it is growing at a 176%+ annual revenue CAGR since 2014.
In 2020, Groundfloor topped $145 million in investment. Currently, it reports approximately 93,000 registered users.
Groundfloor lists real estate loans using the Reg A+ securities exemptions meaning both retail and accredited investors may participated in its investment offerings.
Groundfloor’s website indicates that investors have experienced a 10.5% return to date. Property listings are venture loans to real estate entrepreneurs, originated and serviced by Groundfloor. Typically, these are short-term securities of 6 to 12 months.
