Payfare Inc. (TSX: PAY), a global Fintech firm supporting digital banking and instant payment solutions, has hired Kamran Haidari to serve as its Chief Technology Officer and Braulio Lam will be responsible for leading product innovation and development as the firm’s Chief Product Officer.
As mentioned in a release shared with CI, these “strategic additions” to Payfare‘s executive team will aim to support planned product and tech developments that will “accelerate user acquisition and growth across the earned wage access industry.”

Haidari brings nearly 20 years of payments tech experience in his roles with TD Bank Group (TD) and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). Recently, Haidari has been serving as the Assistant Vice President, Faster Payments, Enterprise Payments Technology at TD,
Haidari reportedly led the tech build of TD Global Transfer, and also the delivery of Interac Instant, Real-Time Rail (RTR), and International Remittance Marketplace (IRM).
As noted in the announcement, Lam brings over 15 years of experience in managing and operating global payments and tech initiatives.
Lam had been working as Head of Development and IT of the payments division at Home Trust before it was sold to Peoples Trust. In 2016, Lam co-founded Pungle Payments, a Visa Direct integrated partner that he “developed and brought to market before the company was acquired in 2019,” the update noted while adding that Lam is also a Board Advisor for TipTap, a specialized card present acquiring solution for micropayments.

As part of Payfare’s business expansion plans with the help of these new hires, Brian Miller will be transitioning from his dual CTO/COO role and “maintain the position of Chief Operating Officer.”
