Digital asset firm Kraken has launched a new, updated app. The company says that getting crypto just got “a whole lot easier.”
The Kraken team notes in a blog post that they’ve “streamlined” the purchasing and selling process, added more “convenient” payment methods, and “wrapped it all in a sleek, user friendly design.”
The new app from Kraken is currently available in the US and “the rest of the world” (most areas) for iOS and Android users.
Kraken’s management stated:
“We believe crypto is for everyone. We set out to create an app that anyone can use confidently, regardless of their experience level.”
Kraken added that their latest app serves as a “perfect” complement to their “more advanced” Kraken Pro app. The new app may be ideal for beginners “just starting out in crypto, or experienced traders looking to quickly and conveniently buy or sell on the go,” the company explained.
Kraken also mentioned that if you are new to their platform, then you may “dive in and learn” about Bitcoin and any of the 50+ virtual currencies they offer before investing in any of the assets.
According to Kraken, these services have been designed to be “quick, secure and simple.” If you’re an existing customer, then you can now introduce family or friends to crypto (and Kraken) with a “beautiful” and “intuitive” mobile experience.

- Simply and securely connect your bank account (certain terms may apply) to Kraken and purchase the crypto of your choice instantly.
- Buy or sell 24/7/365
Users just have to “scroll and tap” to purchase or sell assets in “convenient preset amounts ($20, $50, $100), or quickly enter a custom amount.”
Like most other crypto platforms and services, Kraken’s app lets users track their winners and losers, “keep tabs on [their] favorite projects,” browse the “most popular” or “top gainers” of the day and access various other features.
