Nasdaq listed Bitcoin Mining Hardware Firm Canaan Launches After-Sales Office in Kazakhstan

Canaan Inc. (NASDAQ: CAN), an established high-performance computing solutions provider, revealed on Monday (June 7, 2021) that it has launched its first international after-sales service center, based in Kazakhstan.

According to a release shared with CI, the new Service Center will offer Canaan‘s domestic clients with timely after-sales services – which includes machine testing, warranty services, machine maintenance, and technical consultations.

As mentioned in the announcement:

“Through the Service Center, local customers will be able to access technical support, guidance, and training services for basic mining machine operations such as firmware upgrades, Fleet Management System applications for mine management, as well as mining pool access and configuration.”

To gauge computing power and machine stability, domestic clients can test out the performance of their crypto mining hardware at the Service Center. Clients needing technical assistance for firmware updates, such as the optimization of temperature, fan control, and start-up speeds, along with the reduction of frequency, voltage, and bug fixes, will now “be able to do so at the center,” the announcement noted.

The after-sales team will also be responding to customer requirements in a timely manner, especially with locating and repairing of mining machines, so as to “minimize the potential revenue impact on customers,” the release confirmed.

Miners using the firm’s Avalon mining machines may use the FMS apps “to manage their mining machines in batches, upgrade their mining machine firmware, and modify their mining machines’ configuration information,” the release noted.

The announcement also metnioned:

“To help local miners leverage these FMS tools to better manage their mining machines, the Service Centers’ after-sales service team will also provide training and guidance to local miners as well as their operation and maintenance personnel.”

Mr. Nangeng Zhang, Chairman and CEO at Canaan, stated:

“The establishment of the service center in Kazakhstan is strategic in expanding our after-sales geographical coverage and providing faster and easier access to support our growing international customer base. This development builds on our commitment to service excellence and providing a best-in-class client experience.”

Founded in 2013, Canaan is a tech firm that’s mainly focused on ASIC high-performance computing chip design, chip research and development, computing equipment production and software services.

The firm says that “super computing is what we do, social enrichment is why we do.” Canaan has extensive experience in chip design and streamlined production in the ASIC field. In 2013, the firm released and “mass produced the world’s first ASIC Bitcoin mining machine.”

Canaan “maintains its industry leadership in advanced process chip technology by launching one to two major product iterations every year, and providing energy-efficient computing equipment for the cryptocurrency mining industry,” the announcement noted.

In 2018, Canaan released the first RISC-V architecture commercial edge AI chip, “further harnessing the potential of ASIC technology in the field of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.”
