Great Lakes Fund Solutions to Provide Investor Services Back Office for InvestX.

Great Lakes Fund Solutions, Inc will be providing back-office investor services for InvestX, according to a note from the company.

InvestX is an emerging digital asset marketplace that aims to provide the ability to invest and trade in private equity. Earlier this year, InvestX announced the launch of its new trading platform, GEM. InvestX GEM aims to allow broker-dealers to transact in private equity through a technology solution. The GEM acronym stands for Growth Equity Marketplace.

Great Lakes Fund Solutions has provided outsourced investor services fund administration to the sponsors of alternative investment programs since 1976. Clients of the company include REITs, private real estate partnerships, oil and gas limited partnerships, public commodity pools, and a variety of other public/private alternative investment funds.

Great Lakes Fund Solutions is a registered transfer agent with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Other services provided by the Great Lakes include the provision of a due-diligence data room, physical and electronic sales literature fulfillment, and a call center for investors and their financial advisors.

Brian Schaeffer, Managing Director of InvestX, said that after an extensive RFP Great Lakes Fund Solutions came out on top.

“InvestX’s core focus is empowering the sell-side with access to investment opportunities in pre-IPO Giants, the Great Lakes Fund Solutions partnership will help support our aggressive growth trajectory by providing advanced back-office administration.”

The company notes that over the past 20 years the number of U.S. listed equities has fallen by half, creating an increased demand for private, high-growth young companies. InvestX wants to offer sell-side opportunities to invest and trade high-profile stocks before their shares are available in public markets.
