Transcend, an established provider of analytics, optimization, and automation for collateral, liquidity, and funding, has reportedly hired Rajen Patel who will be leading European sales, strategy and the firm’s ongoing expansion efforts.
As Transcend continues to expand its international presence and customer base, it is critical to develop a solid European operation that’s focused on regional-specific requirements and challenges, according to an update from the firm.
Based at the firm’s London offices, Rajen will be tasked with helping to drive new customer relationships and deepen existing ones across the globe.
Bimal Kadikar, Transcend’s CEO, stated:
“Transcend is committed to providing our clients with global solutions backed by strategic expertise. As we continue to grow our global client footprint, Rajen’s domain expertise and industry experience will help us evolve our product and business strategy.”
Rajen has joined Transcend with more than 2 decades of Capital Markets experience. He is a former MD at Morgan Stanley who “served in various securities finance trading and management roles across New York, London and Tokyo,” the announcement noted while adding that most recently “prior to joining Transcend, Rajen was the COO and CRO of a macro hedge fund in London.”
Rajen Patel stated:
“Financial firms in Europe face many unique regulatory and operational obstacles. I look forward to helping the industry solve the complex challenges associated with optimizing and mobilizing collateral.”
Transcend is a leading provider of optimization solutions for collateralized businesses.
With “a growing roster of … banks and other financial institutions as clients,” the firm claims that it is on its way to become the “gold standard” for the real-time, firm-wide management of inventory, funding and liquidity.
With over 115 professionals employed globally, Transcend “addresses an array of regulatory and capital challenges that are facing the industry with a user-friendly, SaaS-based or on-prem collateral and liquidity management platform.”
Transcend, a US-based firm that focuses on de-risking collateral decision-making, closed an oversubscribed $10 million Series A investment round (in October 2020) that was led by Nyca Partners.
