Payhawk, the platform that brings together expense, payment and invoice management in one solution, reveals that it’s offering its clients Apple Pay, which is considered a safer, more secure and private way to make payments.
As reported by Finextra, this option should assist clients with better protecting their sensitive financial details, because they won’t have to hand over their payment cards to someone else. There’s also no need to touch any physical buttons or exchange paper currency notes. It also uses the power of the iPhone to protect money transfers.
Clients just have to hold their iPhone or Apple Watch close to a payment terminal in order to perform a contactless transaction. Every purchase made with Apple Pay is secure since it’s authenticated via Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode, along with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
At present, Apple Pay is being accepted in grocery stores, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, coffee shops, and retail outlets.
Clients may also use Apple Pay via the iPhone, iPad, and Mac in order to perform faster and seamless purchases in apps or via the web in Safari without being required to open new accounts or constantly enter shipping and billing details.
Apple Pay has been designed to make it easier to make everyday purchases like food items and grocery deliveries, online shopping, transportation, and even parking. Apple Pay may also be used to complete transactions in apps via the Apple Watch.
Security and privacy are a key focus area for Apple Pay. Whenever clients use their credit or debit cards with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers never get stored on the device. This sensitive information is also never kept on Apple servers.
A unique Device Account Number gets assigned, fully encrypted, and safely stored in the Secure Element, which has become an industry-standard, certified chip for keeping the payment details safely on the device.
Apple Pay is fairly easy to install. On the iPhone, you just need to maintain the Wallet app, tap +, and then follow the instructions to add Payhawk’s credit or debit cards. After a client has added a payment card to the iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac, they’re able to use Apple Pay on that device. Clients may still benefit from all the different rewards provided by Payhawk’s cards, the announcement confirmed.
