Anti-money laundering specialist SmartSearch is planning to hire 20 new staff members before the end of 2021. The Regtech firm says that it’s onboarding new talent so that they can support their business growth.
There are many roles currently available. They range from graduate and entry-level positions and also highly skilled roles. Some of the main areas that SmartSearch is recruiting in include technical teams, customer success, market engagement and finance.
SmartSearch currently has 177 staff members, and has so far hired 85 professionals this year. The Regtech firm’s recruitment drive is being supported by its best year on record (in 2020) and 2021 seems to be on track to be another solid year, the company claims.
Some of the new hires will be based out of SmartSearch’s head offices in Ilkley, and some will be working from its original office in Guiseley which has undergone a renovation.
The makeover has included the installation of various breakout areas, and collaborative workspaces, and has been created with worker wellbeing in mind.
Dan Jackson, Recruitment Adviser at SmartSearch, is leading the recruitment efforts.
Jackson stated:
“We have such a range of great roles available, experience in the sector is not essential. The key for us is finding passionate, smart, customer focussed people who fit into our culture. We encourage those who join us to explore different roles and paths. For example, people have joined in one team, decided they are better suited to another role and transfer internally, so there are no limits on what our staff can achieve.”
He added:
“Our team is supported professionally to develop with training and mentoring, but the wellbeing of the person is also really important to us. With this in mind, the new office has been designed to provide a space where our team can be both productive, and also has space to relax and be creative.”
He also mentioned that this is an exciting time to be joining SmartSearch. They’re constantly bringing in new customers and enhancing and implementing new innovations to cement their position as the industry as an anti-money laundering software provider, Jackson added.
