Fintech Ziglu Tops £6 Million on Seedrs

Neobank Ziglu has topped £6 million on Seedrs after easily surpassing its £1 million initial target.

As was previously reported, Ziglu is raising growth capital at a pre-money valuation of £85 million. The EIS qualified offering is selling equity at a per share price of £48.3. Ziglu has opted into the Seedrs Secondary market so investors will have the option of near-term liquidity. If you are interested, direct investments outside the nominee structure are being accepted at the£25,000 level.

In 2020, Ziglu raised capital via crowdfunding at a per share price of £34.

Ziglu was founded by Starling Bank co-founder Mark Hipperson. Ziglu is registered with both the UK FCA (e-money) & Danish FSA. Ziglu has built in-house its cloud banking platform.

A modern financial management platform, Ziglu offers both traditional and alternative crypto features. A debit card is available along with safeguarded British pound accounts. Ziglu also offers investment accounts that are said to generate 5% annual interest via their Boost accounts. Ziglu reports that its customer base has quadrupled over the course of 2021 and it has also recently launched a fee-free euro account for tourists and business travelers as the first part of its expansion into foreign exchange.

In a release, Hipperson stated:

“Individual investors are important to our business and the £6 million raised in our latest crowdfund campaign demonstrates their confidence in the services we offer and our plans for expansion.  There is still a little time for investors to take part in the crowdfund, and benefit from the growth of the business.”

Ziglu offers its users access to Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Cardano, Chainlink, Dogecoin, Ether, Litecoin, Polkadot, Solano and Tezos. It states that it complies with the Anti Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing standards set by Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

The securities offering is scheduled to close on November 12, 2021. The offering is also being pitched alongside a “major series A” VC round.
