US Fintech Facet Wealth Appoints Bill Fahrbach as New CFO

Facet Wealth, a fast-growing Fintech, offering customized client services via a no-minimum, flat-fee subscription model, reveals that it has named Bill Fahrbach as its new Chief Financial Officer “responsible for Facet’s overall financial function.”

As mentioned in an update shared with CI, Fahrbach spent around 10 years (previously) overseeing the growth of private-equity backed software-as-a-service (SaaS) firms, “leading exponential growth, raising debt/equity, and executing/integrating acquisitions at firms including CultureIQ, ComplySci, Workwave, and Mobile Commons.”

Fahrbach also worked to “complete multiple exits for investors such as Warburg Pincus, ParkerGale, Vista Equity Partners, and EQT, prior to joining Facet Wealth,” the announcement noted.

Having advised fast-growing firms for many years, Fahrbach will “draw on his investment banking experience and technology operations expertise to build on Facet Wealth’s accelerated growth,” the update noted.

Fahrbach remarked:

“Over the past year, I’ve watched Facet Wealth from afar as they grew rapidly into the industry leader they are today. I’m thrilled to join this team, and look forward to honing my finance skills to help them reach new heights of success.”

Fahrbach started off his career in investment banking and research with Merrill Lynch, Crusader Securities, and Standard & Poor’s, where he was responsible for researching and advising on M&A and capital raises for growth tech businesses. His range of experience “spans from work with small venture capital-backed startups to large multinational conglomerates,” the announcement revealed.

He is a CFA Charterholder, and Masters in Business Administration holder from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with concentrations in Analytic Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, “with a focus in Computer & Electrical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.”

As stated in the release, Facet Wealth is also announcing “the hire of Jenna Sorrentino as its first official Head of People.”

As mentioned in the update, Sorrentino will be tasked with leading Facet Wealth’s strategic vision for “building and retaining a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable team of professionals.”

In addition to her Masters in HR Management from Mercy College, Sorrentino is “bringing more than a decade of Human Resource experience to the growing fintech firm.”

Before Facet Wealth, Sorrentino “led the Human Resource initiatives at large scale organizations such as Omnicom Media Group, PepsiCo, and Northwell Health.” Her most notable experience comes from “her time with startups leading Remedy Partners’ Human Resources team as they merged with fellow healthcare startup Signify Health.”

After the merger, Sorrentino “continued to support Signify Health’s People Organization as they navigated their IPO in February of 2021,” the announcement confirmed.

She added:

“I couldn’t be more excited to join a rapidly-growing organization where talent is at the forefront and caring for our employees is as important as caring for our clients. 2022 will be all about growth, innovation, and inclusivity at Facet Wealth.”

In her role, Sorrentino will “leverage her experience to guide Facet Wealth further on its growth trajectory, following a doubling in size every six months since the firm’s inception,” the announcement noted.

These new appointments follow Facet Wealth’s “recent news of further additions to its executive team with the hire of Shruti Joshi as its Chief Operating Officer, and Liz Shader, as its Director of Growth Marketing.”
