UK based BNPL Fintech PollenPay Announces its Launch Plans

Providing a smarter way to perform monetary transactions, PollenPay, a UK-headquartered Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) firm is pleased to confirm its launch plans.

Led by company founder and CEO, Leon Wilson, the team at PollenPay plans to ease pressure on purchases, while at the same time ensuring higher levels of financial responsibility among its clients.

The dramatic increase of BNPL service providers has been one of the most notable Fintech trends of 2020 and 2021, however, many of the companies presently doing business in this nascent sector find themselves under a lot of pressure to promote greater financial responsibility among their client base.

PollenPay, a BNPL firm from the Manchester Fintech sector, aims to address these challenges.

The startup is focused on ensuring that its clients have improved management of their cashflow and will introduce appropriate measures to safeguard consumers who use its service.

The Fintech firm claims that it operates via a straightforward business model; providing clients with interest-free and flexible installment plans on purchases over several installments by charging retailers a reasonable fee. This new service is free to clients who make payments on time, with no interest charges or hidden fees, the company claims.

For boutique businesses, PollenPay provides instant payment, assisting with reducing the time spent waiting for transactions to clear into accounts and allowing for greater cashflow management. As such, the service provides companies a much more efficient option compared to other BNPL services, the announcement noted.

And unlike other BNPL firms, PollenPay claims that it prides itself human-centric core values. The firm provides a “responsible approach” to BNPL transactions and enables clients to adjust payment schedules in case they encounter financial hardship.

The platform has reportedly attracted major retailers who will provide its service as a payment option from its initial day of launch, which is scheduled toward the end of 2021.

Leading this startup are the company founders and CEO, Leon Wilson, Brian Teo and Steven Hilton.

They had developed an interest in emerging technologies related to the payments sector while residing in Australia. They witnessed the early BNPL rise and started their own plans to improve the concept to better suit the requirements of UK consumers.

PollenPay Founder and CEO, Leon Wilson stated:

“Customers shouldn’t fear the thought of making payments and retailers shouldn’t worry about receiving money in a timely manner. I’ve watched these issues affect British businesses and consumers for far too long and decided a change needed to be made. That’s why I’ve developed PollenPay, which I’m proud to launch very soon.”

Wilson added

“Our platform is helping to give individuals and businesses greater control over their finances and facilitating BNPL purchases more efficiently than ever before. As a company, we’re committed to extolling the values of Manchester as a city and will offer a service tailored exactly to our customers’ needs.”

He also mentioned:

“We’ve adopted the Manchester worker bee within our logo for a reason. We want to help put the city on the map within the BNPL scene; both in Britain and further afield. It’s an exciting moment to enter this developing space and to join the growing ranks of Manchester’s emerging Fintech scene.”
