Digipost, one of Norway’s largest digital mailbox providers, has reportedly chosen the Neonomics unified API platform in order to support the introduction of account-to-account payments to its 2,7 million clients.
Digipost is one of the most actively used digital invoicing services in the Nordic region. Neonomics API is supporting Digipost users to link up their bank accounts easily and securely and carry out payments directly across Digipost platforms including via the mobile app.
Thomas Mathisen, CEO at Digipost, stated:
“We are innovating to drive even more value from the digital postbox. Before PSD2, we had agreements with individual banks, with Neonomics now streamlining our bank connectivity across Norway, we can offer our millions of users a simple way to manage and pay their invoices directly in-app. This is a big win for both consumers and our customers, the organizations that send invoices, who stand to benefit greatly from having such effective means to send and receive payments.”
The two firms have teamed up to offer invoice payments where the client gets a complete overview of paid and unpaid invoices within the Digipost platform. With this integrated service, Digipost enhances its position and now expects steady growth in the number of invoices sent.
Christoffer Andvig, CEO at Neonomics, remarked:
“We are proud to work with Digipost in delivering a stronger value proposition to their customers. Account to account payments, powered by open banking, is slowly becoming the standard for e-invoicing because of its simplicity and security and we are excited to play an integral role in delivering cost savings and better experiences for Digipost’s customers.”
As noted by its management, Neonomics bridges the gap between compliance and innovation, “growing a large unified API network of banks and third-party providers across Europe.”
Their single API connection point “enables you to build PSD2 and open banking-enabled propositions, from payment initiation to bank account aggregation and data access.”
