FIS (NYSE: FIS) has announced a partnership with Crypto.com. FIS is a provider of tech solutions for merchants, banks, and capital markets firms globally. Crypto.com will use Worldpay from FIS as a blockchain validator, utilizing FIS’s payment gateway and global acquiring services to support continued global expansion.
Crypto.com currently serves over 10 million customers worldwide via its various services including a crypto exchange, Visa, and app that enables spending in crypto. The Crypto.org Chain, by Crypto.com, is a public blockchain that enables transactions between people and businesses.
Crypto.com will leverage Worldpay from FIS merchant services to process card-based purchases and sales of cryptocurrencies.
As part of the partnership, Worldpay will also provide global merchant acquiring services to support Crypto.com’s continued growth and global expansion.
