The UK Financial Conduct Authority has made several new hires according to a release. The appointments include a Fintech executive who steps into the Finance Director role.
According to the FCA, Craig Chapman will join the regulator as Finance Director in May. Chapman is currently Chief Financial Officer at RTX RouteTrader, a Fintech operating in the telecoms sector. RTX RouteTrader is interesting as it makes a market for global carriers as an exchange for telecoms operators driving efficiency in the mobility market. RTX provides an international service that allows wholesale carriers and telecoms service providers to buy and sell voice and SMS capacity.
As well, the FCA has hired Laura Dawes as one of two new Director of Authorisations. She is currently interim Director of Strategy, Policy, International and Intelligence in the FCA’s Enforcement and Market Oversight Division.
Dominic Cashman will be working alongside Dawes as Director of Authorisations.
