Newcastle based ION and Fintech Stripe Enter Billing Partnership

Newcastle-headquartered Fintech firm, ION is pleased to confirm that they have joined Stripe’s Partner Ecosystem (SPE), becoming a key partner with Stripe, an international tech firm that is focused on building payments infrastructure for the Internet.

As an endorsement of the collaboration, Stripe has appointed ION as a partner for billing implementation in the United Kingdom, in order to offer fully integrated payment and billing infrastructure to mid-market companies.

ION and Stripe work cooperatively to enhance cash collection for mid-market firms, by implementing the financial infrastructure needed to automate billing and payments, integrating CRM and accounting software, while also providing advanced data analytics.

As noted in the update, Stripe provides more than 135+ currencies and many different payment options, along with automated billing, revenue recognition and international tax calculations spanning over 35 countries, giving companies everything they require to address the demands of payments, subscriptions, and billing in the digital world.

ION’s team of Fintech professionals collaborate with clients in order to design and create  subscription, billing and payment services, which enhance revenue, lower collection time and boost profitability.

ION MD Rob Mathieson stated:

“We are delighted to be selected as Stripe’s strategic billing partner in the UK. Their industry-leading billing and payment solution further enhances ION’s unique proposition as the leading independent financial transformation specialist for business finance leaders in the UK.”

Dorothy Copeland, Vice President of global partnerships and alliances at Stripe, added:

“The launch of the Stripe Partner Ecosystem coincides with more businesses looking beyond their organisation to navigate the internet economy, and Stripe making it easier to find the right partner for their needs. By partnering with ION and introducing a comprehensive set of partner resources, companies around the world will be able to accelerate their move to online commerce more easily.”

As covered,  Stripe, the global payments platform, is partnering with Twitter to enable payments with cryptocurrency.

In a blog post, Stripe said they are introducing crypto payouts for Connect. Stripe Connect is a set of programmable APIs and tools that allow a user to build a payments process while having Stripe handle payments KYC [know your customer] – an important requirement especially for global operations.

With crypto payouts, Stripe is allowing some trial creators on Twitter to be paid via crypto rails.
