Fintech firm Stripe has reportedly opened an App Marketplace that’s currently housing up to 50 third-party business apps from vendors such as DocuSign, Dropbox, Intercom, Mailchimp, Ramp, and Xero.
As mentioned in the announcement, Stripe Apps aims to make it possible for businesses to customize Stripe for the first time.
It also supports the automated sharing of contextual information across different apps, keeping systems of record in-sync and giving users a comprehensive view of their business operations.
The Marketplace reportedly includes applications for a wide array of key business functions, such as accounting, analytics, CRM, eSignature, marketing, along with other features.
Developers are now able to build and publish software applications via the Stripe App Marketplace in order to reach numerous businesses that currently use Stripe.
As noted in the update, they may also choose to develop customized apps for use within their firm.
Bowen Pan, Head of Product for Stripe Apps, stated:
”With Stripe Apps, businesses can customise Stripe with their SaaS tools to best serve their customers. We’re excited for this new chapter and can’t wait to see the ingenuity of all the apps that developers will build in the months and years ahead.”
Stripe co-founder John Collison said:
“It’s like any operating system: core functionality needs to work perfectly out of the box. But the breadth of functionality of the platform is also really important having an app to solve every use case. For years, our users have been asking us to allow the choice to interoperate with Stripe.”
As covered, Fundbox recently announced that its working capital platform is now embedded “within Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform for businesses.”
A key player in providing embedded working capital solutions for B2B sellers, Fundbox’s collaboration with Stripe is “the first of many new integrations to come as the company targets expansion with B2C sellers, particularly e-commerce merchants.”
The Stripe App Marketplace, Stripe’s new ecosystem for financial services, “features Fundbox as a leading provider of working capital solutions.”
