Rarible.com, which claims to be the leading multi-chain non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, announced its integration with the Metaplex Protocol, a protocol built on Solana for NFTs, “to enable support for the Proof-of-History (PoH) and popular NFT-favorite blockchain, Solana.”
The integration “enables Rarible.com users to explore and trade NFT collections within the vast Solana ecosystem and furthers the platform’s mission towards a seamless, interoperable NFT experience across multiple chains for all marketplace users.”
Rarible’s integration of the Metaplex Protocol “makes Solana the sixth blockchain platform now supported by the marketplace, alongside Ethereum, Flow, Polygon, Tezos, and Immutable X.”
As the NFT ecosystem continues to expand and diversify, Rarible’s support for Solana “will enable NFT users to easily explore collections across all major chains, in one place.”

Earlier this year, the Rarible Protocol – a white-label solution which enables the creation of fully customized NFT experiences, “separate from the Rarible.com marketplace – also integrated with the Solana blockchain.”
The integration “enabled popular Solana-based collections, such as Degenerate Ape Academy, to launch their very own customized marketplaces powered by the Rarible Protocol and Metaplex’s Auction House with low fees and a tailored user experience.”

To celebrate the integration, Rarible.com will “allow users to buy and sell Solana NFTs with zero fees for the first month of the integration.’
The marketplace recently “lowered fees to 1% across all compatible chains earlier this year.”
