Nexi Teams Up with Microsoft to Support Digitalization of Europe’s Payments Sector

Nexi announced a collaboration with Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) intended to innovate virtual payments services and assisting with the digitalization of SMEs, Corporates, Public Administrations and Financial Institutions across European markets via vertical value-added solutions in order to respond to specific requirements as easy to adopt one-stop-to-digital packages for small businesses, scalable payment Cloud-enabled infrastructures for public entities to serve citizens, for corporates to streamline payment and cash operations and for financial firms to leverage digital-native scenarios for clients.

As mentioned in the update, Nexi was chosen as one of its primary virtual payment providers for digital commerce acceptance in Italy, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Nexi and Microsoft will aim to embed Nexi payments services with Microsoft Cloud solutions.

Nexi will be leveraging Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions in order to support the transformation of its own platforms and to bring innovation “agility” into the IT Infrastructure, leveraging the Data Center Modernization and Consolidation scenarios.

Both firms are focused on accelerating  market adoption of joint solutions and to co-develop products that take advantage of their areas of expertise.
