StartEngine Touts July Performance for Reg A+, Rec CF Offerings

StartEngine, one of the larger investment crowdfunding platforms in the US, has posted that it raised more money under Reg A+ and Reg CF in July than other top platforms. StartEngine states:

“… in July $27.0M was raised under Reg. CF campaigns and $10.3M was raised under Reg. A+ for a combined total of $37.3M across the equity crowdfunding industry. Per the same data, StartEngine led the pack, posting the highest total amount of any platform at $10.5M raised between Reg. CF and Reg. A+ campaigns. That’s over 30% more raised than the #2 platform.”

StartEngine notes that this does not include Reg D offerings, collectibles nor real estate funding.

StartEngine adds that during a challenging economic climate, while industry aggregate numbers declined, StartEngine gained in the percentage of the market.

While total volume is not necessarily the most important metric, and adding Reg D offerings would certainly mix things up, it is one measure of platform growth.

StartEngine is in the midst of a self-crowdfunding round utilizing Reg A+. As it stands today, StartEngine has raised just under $6 million at a pre-money valuation of $1.32 billion. The offering is seeking up to $46 million with some insiders planning on selling a portion of their shares.

StartEngine reports that it has originated over $500 million in online capital formation. The platform has expanded into other verticals, including collectibles. It has also created a secondary trading marketplace aiming to provide additional liquidity in an asset class that is historically illiquid.
