Regtech Clausematch has established a new office in Lisbon, Portugal – its third location worldwide. The Portugal operation will be used for engineering and product development.
CEO and founder Evgeny Likhoded said the expansion is part of his strategy to position Clausematch as the worlds top solution for compliance automation. He noted that Lisbon has emerged as a leading tech outlet in Western Europe.
The Lisbon engineering hub will be led by Ekaterina Petrushina.
Clausematch noted that the Portuguese government has sought to make Lisbon a tech hub, looking to attract foreign investments. Tax incentives are available for early-stage ventures.
Founded in 2012, Clausematch reports that in 2022 the company doubled its annual revenue rate and increased its headcount from 50 to 71 employees. Last year, Clausematch raised $10.8 million in funding from Sony Innovation Fund, Lytical Ventures, and Flashpoint VC.
