AKRU, a real estate investment platform, recently distributed an update on its platform.
AKRU offers fractionalized investments in commercial real estate. Via tokenization, investors may purchase real estate-backed securities for as little as $1000. There is also a secondary trading marketplace for liquidity if you are interested. AKRU predicts over $1.1 billion of assets are in the pipeline for 2023. As of this writing there are six securities offerings live with two more in the queue. Currently, the platform only accepts accredited investors under the Reg D exemption.
According to the company, registered users jumped by 9000% during 2022 jumping to 55,000 potential investors. On the date of the email, $338 million in assets were said to be in the pipeline.
“Looking ahead, we are poised to build upon the foundation that we laid in 2022. This year, we anticipate adding hundreds of millions of dollars worth of assets to the platform, seeing a dramatic increase in revenue, and selling more tokens than ever before. Following a year where the Dow Jones and S&P 500 fell significantly and with the highest inflation levels in over 40 years, real estate remains an attractive place to invest.”
