Insurtech: Vouch Announces API Partnership with StartupOS

StartupOS users will be able “to get quotes for coverages from Vouch without having to leave the StartupOS platform.”

The team are pleased to announce their first embedded insurance API partnership with StartupOS.

As noted in a blog post, StartupOS users will be able “to get quotes for General Liability and Business Property coverages from Vouch without having to leave the StartupOS platform.”

Additionally, the platform “will host free risk management training modules from Vouch, especially designed for early-stage founders.” This is yet another demonstration of their commitment “to serve early-stage founders and help them protect their companies from the start.”

Purchasing insurance is often “a challenge for first-time founders.”

They’re laser-focused on “growing their business, and insurance is usually not top of mind.”

However, it’s quite common for them “to come across insurance requirements along their journey – when they’re signing a lease, signing an enterprise contract, raising a round of funding or securing a venture debt loan, for example.”

When that happens, founders are “often unsure what to buy, where to get it, and who to trust.”

This is why embedded insurance is “such a game-changer.” It allows companies “to purchase coverages directly within platforms they already use at the time of need, saving time and making the process incredibly simple and seamless.”

Vouch’s API allows partners like StartupOS “to take advantage of our core underwriting functionality through an integration that is easy to implement and maintain, since application and underwriting logic can be updated without introducing breaking changes.”

The API allows partners “to offer materially better experiences to their users, so that buying insurance feels like a native part of their platform.”

This partnership is “a significant step forward for the insurance industry, and we are thrilled to be a part of it.” They look forward “to serving the StartupOS founder community and helping them achieve their dreams.”
