Crowdfunding: SeedBlink Expands into Germany, Austria and Switzerland

SeedBlink, a European securities crowdfunding provider, has expanded into the DACH countries – Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. SeedBlinke, based in Bucharest, has been announcing operations across different EU countries in recent months.

SeedBlink pitches its services as a “co-investment platform,” allowing VC money to pair with retail investors. SeedBlink has worked with venture capital firms like SpeedInvest, Occident Group, Xista Science Ventures, and Elevator Ventures, as well as partnering with Gateway Ventures, where the two platforms co-list deals. SeedBlink also works with family offices.

SeedBlink currently reports regional portfolio companies like German BioTech startup MK2 Biotechnologies, MedTech BrainHero, Swisspod, Fretello, and Tripmakery.

SeedBlink states that it recently launched a round for Nuumi – a German Healthtech company looking to cure addictions and SmartNanotubes – a German Deeptech start-up that has developed the world’s first mass-market gas detector chip.

SeedBlink has enlisted Eric Bartha to lead the DACH expansion as SeedBlink’s Head of Investment Management.

“Our official DACH presence is designed to accelerate investment in the region and capitalize on the highly active innovation and entrepreneurial landscape across all tech sectors, by opening access to the VC asset class to new audiences. It also provides a unique opportunity to further collaborate with local VCs, business angels’ groups, and family offices to leverage the dynamism of the German-speaking economy, with a focus on DeepTech and Life Sciences. By partnering up with local VCs and business angels, we are aiming to co-invest more than 1.5M Eur in 2023 in 8 start-ups and plan to double these volumes in 2024”, said Bartha.

In aggregate, the fast-growing investment marketplace has facilitated over €200 million into tech startups across the continent through its network of smaller investors as well as VC and high-net-worth individuals.

Bernhard Petermeier, partner Xista Science Ventures, one of SeedBlink’s VC partners in Austria, says they are enthusiastic about their DACH expansion.

SeedBlink Crowd SA is registered in the Register of the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) and approved to provide private securities offerings across the EU under ECSPR.
