Credit Provider Zilch Opens Location in Poland

Zilch has opened a new technology hub in Krakow, Poland. The company said the location is a new European Centre for Excellence which will serve as a facility \ to accelerate the development and implementation of new features and technologies. This is Zilch’s third location after its London HQ and Miami office.

Approximately 30% of its developers are based in Poland – a location known for its highly skilled tech workers.

Zilch is a BNPL provider or direct-to-consumer (D2C) credit provider as well as a promotional platform. Zilch says it is merging advertising and payments.

Philip Belamant, CEO and co-founder of Zilch, explains the current economic environment has led to a reduction in funding for private firms. This means well funded companies have an opportunity to leapfrog the competition.

“While others are scaling back, we are doubling down on investment into our team, product, and customers. This strategic step is part of our targeted investment program into R&D and technology. We expect our new Krakow operation will serve as a blueprint for similar technology hubs worldwide.”

Zilch currently reports over 3 million registered customers.

Zilch is regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) after obtaining a consumer credit license through the Regulatory Sandbox Programme.
