Insurtech firm bolttech says it is pleased to share that the international insurance technology company has appointed Stuart Watson as its Director, Insurance Exchange, Asia.
In his new role, Stuart will “lead business development for bolttech’s embedded insurance and marketplace propositions in the region, working closely with new and existing partners as well as intermediaries.”
Stuart is considered to be “an established leader with a proven track record in developing, pricing, and launching new markets, partnerships, insurance product lines and multinational programs.”
He has 18 years of international and cross-cultural experience “in the insurance industry, including past stints at large insurance and broking firms such as Aon and AIG.”
Prior to joining bolttech, Stuart was “at Aon where he was leading Aon’s overall Affinity & Digital Solutions strategy across 13 countries covering Greater China, Japan and Southeast Asia.”
He assumed his new role “in July 2023 and is based in Singapore.”
As covered last month, international insurtech bolttech announced its partnership with one of Taiwan’s telecommunications providers, Taiwan Mobile, in order “to offer a range of personal insurance options for customers on the Taiwan Mobile app.”
Powered by bolttech’s insurance exchange platform, “the first phase of the partnership will see the launch of 13 different travel insurance products underwritten by Fubon Insurance providing coverage from NT$3 million up to NT$12 million, to cater to the varied needs of customers.”
Taiwan Mobile customers can “get insured in under three minutes when they log in and purchase insurance products through their Taiwan Mobile account.”
