Empeon, the enterprise-grade Human Capital Management (HCM) platform for health systems, announces its partnership with Keeper, an earned wage access (EWA) platform for healthcare workers.
The two software providers are joining forces “to give healthcare organizations a powerful tool to combat chronic healthcare labor shortages and give healthcare workers more financial freedom.”
Lipa Lefkowitz, CEO of Keeper, said:
“The Empeon/Keeper relationship is based on our common goal of solving needs unique to customers in the healthcare industry with innovative, easy-to-use, automated payroll solutions.”
Nearly two-thirds of healthcare workers live paycheck-to-paycheck. Early access to wages provides much-needed financial flexibility to caregivers. The benefit has also proven helpful in extending “the average tenure of employees in long-term care and home health, reducing turnover and accelerating the adoption of digital solutions in healthcare.”
Joel Krausz, EVP of Strategic Operations at Empeon, said:
“It’s clear the team at Keeper understands the complexities of the healthcare space and is highly adaptive to change. They do a great job of listening to customers and identifying actionable insights, which helps them continually improve their solutions and stay on the cutting edge of healthcare HR tech.”
Thanks to the two platforms’ integration, customers can “automate the early-payment request and payment delivery processes, freeing up HR staff to focus on more strategic and impactful functions of their job.”
As noted in the update, Empeon, formerly ADS, was “founded in 1998 to provide health systems with flexible, accurate, and punctual payroll solutions.”
Having expanded into the full gamut of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, the company’s software services “streamline processes like talent acquisition, Human Resources, onboarding, time management, scheduling, and labor management.”
Empeon supports the healthcare sector “in maximizing efficiency and minimizing risk through its enterprise-grade, customizable suite of people management tools.”
As mentioned in the announcement, Keeper, a earned wage access (EWA) platform, was founded by healthcare industry veterans “dealing with rising employee turnover rates. Keeper’s services are offered as a benefit to healthcare staff, as the platform provides caregivers with instant, early access to their earned income.”
Keeper is integrated “into business payroll, making the process seamless for both employees and employers.”
