Stocktwits, the social platform for investors and traders across all asset classes including stocks, crypto, and other emerging investments, announced that they are launching options trading and increased sentiment data on the platform.
These capabilities will expand the company’s existing suite of features “at a time when the relationship between sentiment and options trading is at a record high.”
The expanded trading execution capabilities will “allow users to trade options directly within the Stocktwits platform through its wholly-owned subsidiary and SEC-registered Broker-Dealer, ST Invest, LLC.”
Stocktwits was initially created “to foster discussions about stocks and crypto, however, the expansion to include trading features is aligned with the growing enthusiasm among retail investors.”

Individual investors will now be able “to engage in more trading capabilities and can cultivate their investing identity within the Stocktwits platform.” With expanded execution, high quality real-time data, and enhanced insights into thoughts “on both stocks and cryptocurrencies, Stocktwits is primed to deliver even greater value to its users.”
Stocktwits has more than 8M registered users on the platform. In the coming months, the company aims to build new tools and data, expand execution functions “to even more asset classes, and continue fostering a strong community.”
As noted in the update, Stocktwits unlocks “the social nature of investing for individual investors.”
