Elon Musk has taken to X to predict a massive overhaul of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other regulators.
Responding to an X from Mario Nawful, Musk had this to say:
“A comprehensive overhaul of these agencies is sorely needed, along with a commission to take punitive action against those individuals who have abused their regulatory power for personal and political gain. Can’t wait for this to happen.”
He went on to predict a “probability at 100%” of an overhaul.
Yesterday, Musk was hit with an Order issued by the SEC claiming he was not responding to a subpoena in which he was required to meet with SEC officials regarding an investigation into his purchase of Twitter (now X). Musk responded with a simple response of “Seriously,” reflecting an element of frustration with the securities regulator.
Musk has emerged as a leader in the battle to maintain the right of free speech while uncovering profound government interference at Twitter – largely in regard to the COVID debacle. Musk has also expressed his concern with the extremen left-wing shift of the Democrat party, which has pushed him, and others, more to the center-center/right. This has made Musk a target of left-wing operatives. Many citizens have supported his vocal stance as they have become concerned about government overreach in regard to civil liberties and the authoritarian posture of some federal agencies.
In a following statement, Musk claimed, “It’s gonna be amazing. The amount of dirt that will come to light from certain past and present people at these agencies will blow your mind.”
Musk did not provide any further details but left his audience wondering if regulatory agencies were also at work colluding with Twitter prior to his acquisition of the social media firm and perhaps he holds the receipts.
