Cross-Border Payments Fintech Thunes Appoints Chloé Mayenobe as COO

Thunes, the global B2B cross-border payments infrastructure company, has appointed Chloé Mayenobe as its new Chief Operating Officer.

Mayenobe joins Thunes at a pivotal moment “as the company continues its strategic expansion following its successful Series C fundraising in July 2023.”

A seasoned tech leader based in their Paris office, she reportedly “brings a wealth of expertise in transforming and scaling payments firms into their next growth phase.”

As noted in a blog post her experience “includes executive operational and transformational leadership positions.” Most recently, she served “as COO of fintech unicorn Solaris Group. Prior to this, she was Deputy CEO of Natixis Payments.”

Furthermore, Mayenobe spent “over 12 years at Ingenico Group, where she was appointed EVP of Governance and Risks before being appointed as Managing Director of Europe for the retail division.”

There, she was responsible “for more than 1,500 employees and managed over €400 million in revenue.” She completed additional studies “at San Diego State University and is a École Supérieure de Commerce et de Management graduate.”

In July 2023, Thunes closed a successful series C funding round “led by Marshall Wace and supported by Bessemer Venture Partners and 01Fintech.”

The $72 million raised in this series “will help Thunes further expand its global money movement network, deepen its reach” in the MENA region, China and Latin America, explore new segments “to serve an even larger customer base.”
