Dapper Labs announced the upcoming launch of Disney Pinnacle, an all-new socially driven collectible experience that brings the magic of pin collecting to the digital age.
Disney Pinnacle will aim to “bring together characters from 100 years of Disney, along with beloved icons from Pixar as well as heroes and villains from the Star Wars galaxy, uniquely styled as collectible and tradable digital pins.”
The waitlist to join the all-new experience opens now.
Roham Gharegozlou, co-founder and CEO of Dapper Labs, said:
“Disney Pinnacle is an all-new product designed from the ground up to incorporate everything we’ve learned over the past few years. Fans anywhere will be able to collect dynamic pins on their phone and trade instantly and securely with each other no matter where they are in the world.”
As fans collect and trade verified, authentic, digital collectibles in Disney Pinnacle’s environment, they are instantly able “to share their love for iconic characters across their networks.”
It also enables them “to carry their new collectibles with them wherever they go. With each collectible containing its own pin collectible trading journey, fans are also able to build their own unique collections anywhere, from their phones.”
Disney Pinnacle will launch publicly “later this year on the Apple App Store for iOS.”
Dapper Labs invites you “to become a member of the community of collectors to collect, trade, and build your own digital pin collections.”
As covered, Dapper Labs, the company “behind CryptoKitties, NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day, UFC Strike and the Flow blockchain, uses blockchain technology to bring NFTs and new forms of digital engagement to fans around the world, paving the way to a more open and inclusive digital world starting with games and entertainment.”
Since it was founded in 2018, Dapper Labs has “given consumer enthusiasts a real stake in the game by bringing them closer to the brands they love, building engaged and exciting communities for them to contribute to, and producing new pathways for them to become creators themselves.”
Dapper Labs’ current studio partners “include the NBA, NBPA, WNBA, WNBPA, LaLiga, NFL, NFLPA, Warner Music Group, Ubisoft, Genies, and UFC. We have raised over $600M from leading and notable investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Union Square Ventures, Venrock, Google Ventures (GV), Samsung, and the founders of Dreamworks, Reddit, Coinbase, Zynga, and AngelList, among others.”
Dapper Labs is accelerating the move “to Web3 by building new apps and platforms that enable great user experiences while being accessible to hundreds of millions of fans of organizations like the NBA and NFL, for example.”
