The ERC3643 Standard has achieved Final Status in the Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP), according to a note from Tokeny.
Tokeny is a digital asset enabler that is focused on digital securities. The company has already partnered on billions of dollars of issued securities. This past week, the company announced an investment from a large, global financial services firm that aims to expand the reach of digital securities across the world.
Tokeny, which created the standard, said the final status is a milestone in fostering compliantly tokenized real-world assets with the open-source standard.
ERC3643 is now officially recognized as a standardized tokenization protocol by the Ethereum community. It can be used for securities and other real-world assets, payment systems, and more.
