Seedrs Books 5th Exit in 2023

Seedrs, part of Republic, has booked its 5th exit for investors in 2023.

According to an X, UK-based Sennen has been acquired by renewable energy firm Kraken. (not the crypto exchange). Sennen provides software that caters to managing renewables and power storage.

Sennen was part of the Sustainable Accelerator in 2018, which was led by Sustainable Ventures. The Sustainable Accelerator was an EIS/SEIS vehicle so it provided tax benefits for investors. The Sustainable Accelerator first raised money in 2017.

Unfortunately, Seedrs did not clarify if investors experienced a positive return on the investment. If you were part of the fund that invested in Sonnen, please let us know if you received a good exit.

Seedrs did promote that the Sustainable Accelerator is now on its 7th fund, currently seeking £600,000 (currently at £447,000).

Inevitably, all investment crowdfunding platforms will be judged on the returns generated for investors. CI believes that all platforms should be transparent on the returns for investors on a vintage portfolio basis.
